New Announcement

We would like to announce that we will be offering a one-week residential gambling addictions treatment program from March 16 – March 19, 2020. The First Nation’s culturally-based program will include cultural teachings, education on gambling addictions, and strategies for responsible gambling. Ngwaagan Gamig Recovery Centre Inc. aims to assist individuals with understanding the impacts of gambling addictions and to developing skills to reduce stressors related to gambling. The 2020 Treatment Referral Application package, which can be found on or accessed by calling 705-859-2324, is required to be completed for consideration for this program, as with other program.

To enhance the understanding of the community of the way in which traditional values and beliefs can help build a healthy family and a stronger community.
To encourage individuals, agencies and community groups to actively work together to define and implement programs in the community which lead to healthier families and communities.
To encourage the continued health of individuals through creation of an after-care and follow-up program.
